Many enterprise web pages are designed for presentation on PC desktop displays, and utilize the capabilities of browsing software like Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari. When your customers access your pages from a mobile device, the experience is usually unusable if the page has not been modified for mobile devices. Contributing factors include pages not being laid out as intended. Because of the limited screen size and the limited amount of material that is visible to the user, context and overview are lost. Culcorp development teams helps convert your current content into pages that are accessible.

Recently I was asked what types of things we do for a company when it comes to system administration. Here is a short list.

Capacity Planning
We work with you to make sure that your business grows and is able to grow from a data point of view. As your business grows you will need more drive space, processing power, and extended disaster recovery methods. We help your business plan for growth using the latest Web technologies and data recovery methods to give you the ease of mine that you’ll always have the space requirements needed to run your business.

Configuring Hardware
We can figure hardware for your internal systems and external hosted systems. We range from installing common printers to large enterprise Web servers. We have been known to set up inter office networks and also enterprise firewalls for your Web infrastructure.

Configuring the Linux Kernel
now I know this is a little techie for most of us, but some of us need this service when we are installing Oracle databases, or specialized software that helps us in able our business.

Creating Users and Groups
As a business grows we have a need to create more users and more groups for our systems. This could be a labor-intensive task for a non-skilled worker. There are special web-based tools we allow you to do this with ease.

Disaster Recovery
this is something that we never want to think about. This is something that we never want to happen. When it is time for you to recover your systems from a major disaster, you can rely on us to help you with this task. Getting your business back up and running is our main goal. Through our consultation, you will learn to save your data in such a way that it will always be accessible to you at any time.

Installing Application Software
Some software is very easy to install. Some software is very hard to install. When it comes a time and you need someone to help you install that specialized software for your business we can help you. It does not matter what operating system it is or the application, our staff is highly trained in a various amounts of operating systems and software applications to provide the right consultation for you at the time you need it.

Installing the Operating System
these days, operating system companies have made it easy to install software but sometimes that’s not really the reason why you need someone to install an operating system. It may does come down to time. You may not have the time to sit through two hours of installing an operating system in putting the applications back on a system. This is part of our service.

Network Administration
Is your WiFi secure? Any login remotely to your internal systems? We can help you work wirelessly and remotely.

Performance Tuning
perception is reality. On the Internet if your website is slow, that gives a negative impression to a visitor. Our Web performance tuning allows you to run your enterprise website at speeds that are attractive to your visitors.

System Security
Sometimes security is an afterthought. If someone has broken into your computer systems it’s already too late. We help you lock down your systems through various best practices across operating systems and applications.

Companies have a stigma about open source. It is free, so how good can it be? Well, it really is not free. The cost of the code may be free, but you still have to install, customize, tweak, host and support it. These are the same things you have to do with “not-free” software.

We have incurred programming costs for many open source installations. As we enjoy not having to pay a yearly cost just to have it, we still have to budget for keeping it around. The most interesting thing about open source it me is, the same programmers who create commercial code, are the same caliber of coder of the open source coder. That matters to me. Free does not equal bad. It equals good judgement.
